Did rep. John Murtha want to undermine President Bush on his Iraq policy so bad that he put his foot in his mouth and tarnished a young Marine’s career? Looks that way. Now see what the Marine and his family want done about it (I seriously doubt that anything will be done…He’s a “Good ‘ol boy”).
(I’m catchin’ up, so be patient…)
Recently, Talk show host Rusty Humphries was in London and interviewed Abu Saif, a Muslim leader in London and what Saif says should scare the hell out of you.
And Finally, What in the world is going on with John McCain? The hired help have jumped ship and are swimming for their lives. I had an inkling McCain was losing it when he started an impromptu “BOMB BOMB BOMB, BOMB BOMB IRAN” at the news conference awhile back. Brian Wilson, he is not!

Just a quick note: I am not even going down the road of the big sleepover in Congress last night. I think it was asinine, idiotic, stupid, whatever. The majority in Congress needs to get off their asses, stop playing games, and get the damned job done we voted them to do!

Money Trail to Nowhere…
Has anyone heard of the project “Center For Instrumented Critical Infrastructure“? I have not, and apparently neither has Congress.
In a nutshell, Rep. John Murtha has earmarked one million dollars for the project. Rep. Peter Visclosky of Indiana is the chair of the subcommittee overseeing the project. Anyone in charge of a project should know the ins and outs of it, right? Not in our government. See the response by Visclosky when grilled by Rep. Jeff Flake Here.
Passing Gas
Is Iran really a threat to the United States? If you think they aren’t, you better wake up and do a little research. Should we bomb the hell out of them? No. I think with the way their economy is going , the people will take care of Armegeddon-John their own way.
Flip Flop… Republican Style
I thought that during one of President Bush’s speeches somewhere around the time we invaded Iraq he stated that we would not, absolutely, negotiate with terrorists. Remember ” Your either with us or against us”? Yeah, right…See the turnaround Here
…And on a casual note
I think if America focused on the war in a different light, we may understand a little better why we are fighting terrorism, and particularly, in Iraq. Muslim terrorists are barbarians, plain and simple. This is a subject I am fairly well versed in and while I don’t favor the war in Iraq (For logistics reasons) I do favor what we are doing in taking the war to their homeland. Trust me, it needs to be done but it needs to be done in an expedient manner. While people may argue whether or not it is a just war, or whether Bush lied to get us there, has no relevance now. What matters is that we are already there and we must, for our national security, finish the job. We can investigate, impeach, argue, point fingers, etc. later, when our national security is assured.

I find Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff’s statement that he has a “Gut Feeling” regarding terror attacks this summer just a little disturbing. C’mon. This guy is in charge of protecting the homeland and the best he can come up with is “A gut feeling”? FIRE HIS ASS!
Intelligence and security officials in the U.S. say that Al-Qaeda is rebuilding and are attempting to insert cells in this country. NEWS FLASH, GENIUSES: They are already here. They’ve been here. They probably just walked right across the Mexican border. They have been here setting up shop for years and just quietly biding their time. Get ready for fighting in the streets. Want to know what Islamic Terrorists are thinking? Go Here
Has anyone noticed the crappy job our new congress is doing? So far they have managed to open 300 or so investigations into the Bush administration on everything from the war in Iraq to whether George Bush wears boxers or briefs. They still want revenge from the 2000 elections I guess.
On the same note, does the current Democratic-run congress realize that they are stepping over Constitutional boundries by enacting legislation telling the President how to run the war? They are also trampling the constitution by threatening criminal subpoena’s in regards to President Bush and his personal papers on the firings of the U.S. Attorneys. If he wants to fire all the U.S. Attorneys, that’s his call, and Congress can’t do a damned thing about it. They serve at the presidents pleasure, plain and simple. President Clinton fired something like nearly all of them, and no one seems to think that was innappropriate. Like I said, the current Congress could care less about running the country.
